On March 5, 2007, SeaWorld held a press conference officially announcing Aquatica. Its signature slide will be two clear tubes that will run through a Commerson's Dolphin habitat. It will also feature two side by side wave pools that can run independent of each other or together. There will also be two lazy rivers, one calm and slow that goes under a tank full of tropical fish and a fast one that will feature rapids and geysers. Altogether it will feature 36 slides including areas for children. It will also be the first major park to open in seven years the last one being Discovery Cove.
